24 Mar Preserving Mental Wellness with Interpersonal Skills Coaching
We live in a world today, where interpersonal skills are becoming less obvious and more in demand at home, school and the workplace.
Issues of interpersonal conflicts have always plagued the human race. We were told the first siblings had deadly conflict – Cain killed Abel. It does seem though that we have evolved into a species where we no longer have the capacity to resolve interpersonal conflicts.
As a result, we fume inside, hold unto grudges, resentments and negative anger to the detriment of our mental wellness.
The use in depression and heart disease show that we are unable to remain silent while a 1/3 of the Canadian workforce become ill or invalids. As a nation we cannot afford to sit idling by and witness our own destruction. There is much we can do.
Since most people when interviewed relay that their stresses stem from interpersonal relationships, its time for us to take a stand against: destructive anger, bullying, and harassment, to reduce interpersonal casualties.
Poor interpersonal skills such as communication, responsible, accountability, negotiation, collaboration, networking, collaboration, decision making, respect and inclusiveness are all coach-able skills that can help people cope better in their interpersonal relationships and reduce interpersonal conflicts. This will also serve to reduce stress, anger, fears, resentment, bullying, harassment and their negative health impact.
In the month of April, we are opening our coaching institute doors open to people who want to learn to coach interpersonal skills with friends, co-workers, students and others. If you are looking to develop your capacity to coach interpersonal skills, contact us today to learn how we can help increase your mental wellness.
