14 Dec Leadership Coaching Skills
Good leaders need to be able to build and maintain good working relationships with those they lead in order to reap the benefits of their trust. When working with leaders…..
Leaders today need to be able to inspire people and motivate them to take necessary action that results in attaining their leadership vision.
This is not the easiest accomplishment. Most of all, good leaders need to be able to build and maintain good working relationships with those they lead in order to reap the benefits of their trust. When working with leaders, I often remind them that their biggest task as a leader is to work on themselves, change their mindset from “I” to “us” and from “them” to “us”. Every leader in whatever capacity needs to know how to talk, so others will listen.
They need to understand how to view themselves as a leader of people rather than leaders of organizations. While people have thoughts, feelings and desires, organizations are only as dynamic as the people who make them up. Great leaders are not born, they are developed as such, it is important for leaders to show compassion and understanding for those they lead by making time to listen to their concerns and most importantly, showing interest by taking the time to ask them the right questions to stimulate their thinking.
Great leaders inspire their people to think differently because they themselves have learnt to think differently. Their leadership should encourage change, collaboration and positive thinking.
The leadership coaching skills course through Interpersonal Wellness Services Inc. Coaching Institute provides leaders with tools to expand their thinking and shows them how to encourage those they lead to expand their thinking.
Only by thinking in new ways can leaders solve the complex problems that face our organizations and societies today. Take the leadership coaching skills course with us, or bring it into your workplace.
